02how long have you been making websites?
uhmmm... for about 4 years, i believe? kkul was created one year after i joined the coding world! it was my first ever project built from scratch. i used to have an older website that i made with a template and used to study how things worked (learning basic html and css) before i launched my current blog.

03and what got you into the hobby?
that's a funny story... at that time, carrd was a very popular thing and everyone had such beautiful and elaborated sites! i started messing around with the templates i could find, then creating my own and also decorating my friends' sites, too. before finally joining neocities, i also taught myself how to decorate rentrys and my own spacehey account :3

04what kind of website are you most interested in?
i LOVE anything creative! specially websites inspired by the old web or scrapbooks, because it makes me feel soooo nostalgic. what i admire most is the way everyone in this community express themselves ♡

05what's your workflow? do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
it really depends on what i'm creating, to be honest. i like to always have the same style throughout my entire site, so the base is already here and all i need to come up with is how i'll organize the new content. i like to browse pinterest for inspiration when i don't have any idea in mind and then start planning the whole structure (which is where my content will sit and how i'll display the different views). i usually work on these sketches offline or in a hidden side blog until i'm satisfied enough with the design to bring it here and start adding more personality and final touchs to it!

yup! i try to innovate every once in a while by creating something more interactive, but i like to always keep the same base and styling, as i feel like these elements are part of my signature

i would say i'm pretty confident :D i know how to do some pretty cool stuff and i don't tend to struggle editing css and html anymore!

i never really stopped to think about it, to be honest... i don't think i have one? although i work a LOT with columns and grids

is there any other way other than styling it? i always create the css document and set the basic stuff (body width, background, fonts, selection, etc...) and add my first element (usually a wrap centering all the content i'll be adding later).

nope :') i never really had any interest in learning how it worked, since nowadays i can just use public apis to do the complicated stuff for me when building anything more interactive (huge shout out to supabase here!!!)

design... unfortunately... but HEAR ME OUT. i keep getting new ideas and i want to create everything at the same time... so turns out that i never actually finish a page before starting a new project and the content always comes later... what can i say? i'm just a girl!

yup. i had another domain in mind when i first thought about buying one, but i wasn't willing to spend that much money just so i could own "kkul.cafe" (even though it's the cutest thing ever!!!). i just went for the cheapest one, just so i could own a domain of my own ♡

yup. neocities tells you whenever something isn't valid and seeing that red x symbol next to a line immediately gets me fixing it

i think it's suuuch a cute addition to your page. i wouldn't say it's necessary, though! sometimes you just want to code something personal and for yourself, never actually meaning to interect with a community, so there's no reason to go an extra length just to create an identity to your blog

i don't think i'll ever change my design, to be honest. my site tells a lot about who i am and what i want to bring to the world. every element here is meaningful and every page is very well thought! i might change some minor details (i love doing a revamp every once in a while), but the color palette + background + lace borders + angel wings is something i would never give up ♡ i've had this same exact style for some many years, i can't even imagine myself without it. my friends always say that they can easily recognize anything made by me and this means a LOT :3

not really. i feel like envy/jealousy is a very negative energy that i don't want to cultivate. when i catch myself ever comparing my stuff to other creators' work, i try to remind myself of my worthy and instead redirect that feeling towards me being inspired by what they created. i admire lots of people i've met here and i'll always be grateful for how much i manage to grow just by having someone to look up to!

i have visual studios downloaded, but i just can't get used to editing my site in any other platform. i'm sooo used to editing here, i'll even bring new projects to a side blog before launching them officially. i only use vs to keep my local files organized

it really depends on how i plan on using these images. if they're elements for my own blog, then i organize them in folders directly on neocities. but if i'm using them for any decor outside of my server, i prefer resorting to file garden or github (for my templates' assets)!
